Vietnam acceded to the Protocol relating to the Madrid Agreement concerning the International Registration of Marks (Madrid Protocol) on 11 April 2006. The Madrid Protocol becomes binding in Vietnam on 11 July 2006.
Malaysia and El Salvador acceded to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) on 16 and 17 May 2006 respectively. The PCT will enter into force in those countries on 16 and 17 August 2006 respectively.
