Pfizer Affirms Patents and throws off Challenge from Teva
March 8, 2008The U.S. Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit (FAFC) reaffirmed two out of three of Pfizer’s patents for the arthritis pain drug Celebrex on Friday. Teva will now have to wait until May 2014 to market their generic version of the drug.
Celebrex has shown clear benefits for arthritis sufferers but has also been alleged to risk heart attacks and strokes.
