NICE loses patent case to Verint

NICE Systems Ltd., an Israel based company, has lost a patent infringement case in the States (Federal District Court, Northern Georgia, Atlanta) and was ordered to pay $3,300,000 in damages to Verint Systems, formerly Witness Systems Inc. when a jury ruled that features of NICE’s analytics products infringe two claims of US 6,404,857 to Witness.
Both companies provide audio-video surveillance and analytics equipment for military and civil security applications.
