Camtek, an Israeli automated optical inspection equipment manufacturer has been sued by Rudolf, who claim that Camtek’s Falcon and Gannet machines infringe Rudolph’s patent No. US 7,779,528. The suit was filed on the day that the patent issued.
Camtek have announced that they will vigorously defend their patent.
Back in May 2009, a Minnesota jury found Camtek guilty of infringing another Rudolph patent and awarded damages of $6.8 million.
In Israel, Camtek is involved in ongoing litigation with Orbotek who also allege patent infringement.
