British Minister of IP Resigns

Less than six months after the former communist, Lord Triesman became the United Kingdom’s First ever Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills – a post created in the 29 June 2007 reshuffle, the Tottenham Hotspur fan is resigning to become chairman of the English Football Association.

I never could understand what a communist was doing working for the privatisation of non-physical assets. Nor could I understand why someone who believes in equality should accept a peerage.

Then again, integrity is not the sort of thing I expect to find in politicians.

Why someone should give up IP to devote his time to football is something I can understand but have difficulty empathizing with. Each to their own, I suppose.
