Tel Aviv University is hosting the annual get-together of Israeli academics researching Intellectual Property. The event is scheduled for 3rd October 2013, and has two plena. The first plenum relates to papers in progress, where participants will be able to comment on each other’s work and to receive a sneak preview.

The second plenum relates to the rather practical topic of the proposed Israel Design Law. The program may be found here תוכנית סדנה.

It is nice to see staff at so many law schools, universities and colleges collaborating in an event like this. Each has his logo on the program, as does the Patent Office

In the past, I’ve found lectures by Israeli academic researchers occasionally stimulating and occasionally embarrassing. This event, hosted by Professor Birnhack offers practitioners an opportunity to interact with local academics. Cross pollination of ideas should prove fruitful for all concerned.
