Costs Awarded to Twitto in Frankincense and Myrr Trademark Case

We recently reported a trademark decision where attorney for opposer wanted to withdraw following his client withdrawing their opposition. See here.

Applicant filed for actual costs, and the oposers did not respond.  The Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks noted that the opposition was withdrawn after the applicant filed detailed counter claims but before later stages of the proceedings, such as hearings, etc. Costs of NIS 20,000 + VAT were awarded.
